NOVENA FOR VOCATIONS
The novena for vocations is nine days of prayer leading to 4th Sunday of Easter, Good Shepherd Sunday, so called because the Gospel of the day is always a section from chapter 10 of Saint John’s Gospel where Jesus talks about the figure of the Good Shepherd. It is a day dedicated to praying for vocations. We are praying for more priests & deacons in our Diocese & our parish but also that each one of us reflects on where is the Lord calling us, what work has He entrusted to us that has been given to no one else? How are we responding to Lord’s call in our own lives & in how we contribute to the life of our parish?
The novena for vocations on our website, why not pray it each day this week?

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Please pray for Pope Francis, Bishop Mark & our community.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may be always truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation, we make our prayer through Christ Our Lord, Amen
